I have no idea when the last time I updated this is. Not really anything new happening with me. In case you dont check out the Everlong Photography MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/everlongphotography) here are some of the more recent pictures Ive done. Im sure LJ will resize them automatically so for sure check them out with higher resoloutions on the MySpace if you can. Sorry if this kills your friends pages.

Things have been very busy for me this past month in preperation for the upcoming Gallery Stroll!

Ive printed three new photos (only two of which will be used in the show), ordered more frames and will be printing more new pictures soon. Its all been much more expensive than Id thought itd be, but hopefully itll pay off - both in money and exposure - but Im not getting my hopes up too much.

Depending on how things go Ill have ten (possibly more) photos to present. ...yeah, Im a bit nervous. Thats nearly double what I showed at the previous show @ Cue. Pricing will be signifigantly cheaper than last year as well, yet slightly higher than advertised on my MySpace. How much you ask? I have no idea. (thats still a big To Do on my list!)

Id hoped that by now Id have some fliers, both digital and printed, but no luck as of yet. (Grrr!)

My head might explode in a stressy, frantic, too-much-to-do-in-not-much-time mess.
Itll be worth it, right? ...I hope so.

Basically what Im saying is: See you at Slowtrain on the 20th!

Im gonna be in Gallery Stroll again! Ill be showing some photography (obviously) @ Slowtrain. Some of it will be old stuff, but Im making prints of new things as well. The opening reception is FRIDAY, APRIL 20th. MARK YOUR DAMN CALENDARS! I know everyone will be smokin tons of pot that day since its 4/20 (I kid, I kid.) but take an hour or two out and come check it out. I should have fliers soon. Im starting to get pretty stressed over all the stuff I have to get done in time, but thats okay. Itll be worth it. Im excited to have my stuff hanging in a place that actually draws a crowd. ...and itll be hung up for an entire month so thats even more awesome. I know one of the other girls who will be showing at Slowtrain takes photos of girls, mostly. Like artsy photos of modely type girls, kinda..eh, whatever. I have no idea what the other persons photography is like. I wouldve never guessed that having a photography MySpace would pay off like it did so suddenly. Its not even a week old and I had two offers to do Gallery Stroll on the same day. (one from whomever books art for Slowtrain and one from Red Light Books. Slowtrain wins.) Anyway, itd mean a lot to me if you guys could come.

Its not like this is the last time Ill advertise this obviously, but this way you cant lie and say it snuck up on ya or something. Thatll just earn you a disapproving look and possibly a kick to the shins.

Also, Im probably going to phase this LJ out. I dont like the way it sizes my photos automatically and its not really reaching as many people as Id like for it to. So, if you read this LJ PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add my photography MySpace if you havent already. I like hearing feedback and am waaaaay more apt to check that thing over this.

Stupid LJ photo editor always makes these much smaller than Id like but I hate making a mess of peoples friends pages. (The origional is 800x600 but you can still click for a slightly better, more detailed view.)

Ive been slacking on the photo updates like craaaazy. Its been so snowy and cold out that my desire to take any new pics around town has been a little squashed as of late.

But obviously, not much has changed. Still very minimal.
I think I might make a print of the above photo. Im not sure why, but I really like it.

I havent updated in this journal for a long time; mostly because I havent taken many new pics lately. In fact, I havent even looked into some of the older ones Id planned on posting since theyve been taken!

There have been a few, but nothing too exciting.

I still have some prints for sale that Id LOVE to get rid of before I (hopefully) move into my own apartment next month. I dont really have the room to store them so Im hoping to let them go pretty cheap.

If youre interested in owning one, please contact me. Im pricing them fairly low and not making a whole lot of profit on them because Im far more interested in people owning my work than making money on them.

Anyway, they are 12x16, pre-framed in clear "frameless" frames and are ready to hang with mounting devices on back.

Id like to take pictures of people like this, but everyone is camera shy. (I am too, hence the hand by the face and what not) Im looking to take not only portraits like this, but up close pics of shoulders (*ahem*, Jason) backs, hands etc... something a little more, well human to say the least since most of my pictures thus far havent been of things like that.

The pictures behind the cut are VERY large. (sorry!) I made them fairly large since saving and transferring digital files has a way of making them distorted the smaller you go.
These are the origional digital versions of the prints shown at the Atistas show last night in conjunction with Gallery Stroll and Cue Media Gallery. Thank you to all that came to support me!

Prints are 16x12 and shown in glass clip "frameless" frames (to keep with minimalist theme). Contact me for purchasing info if youre interested!

So it finally happened. I scammed my way into a gallery opening.
I will be showing eight pieces in the show, all 12x16. Some in colour (actually most in colour strangely enough) and some in the traditional black and white. There will be framed prints for sale so thats new for me... we'll see how that goes!

Also, I dont think I will be doing much work with http://www.modernpopculture.com anymore. At least not near as much as I used to. Sadly Im viewing it more as a hassle lately than something Im excited about and if thats the way I feel, well... whats the point? There may be an update occasionally on that site, but for the most part Ill probably just use this LJ or maybe somewhere down the road work on my own site.

Its official!
I will be in a Cue Media photography show in February. It is more than likely going to be an all girl show, and the tentative date will be February 17th.

In my last entry I mentioned the possibility of my being a part of Gallery Stroll. I still very much look forward to this happening, but things have been pretty busy for me lately. I got a new second job which has required some major schedule changes for me and has been taking most of my attention.
With any luck this whole Gallery Stroll thing should still happen soon and I will of course post on here if and when it does happen.

Ive been meaning to update this journal for a while but, as Im sure is the case with most of you, this time of the year is quite the hectic one!

There is a possibility that I will have some photos shown in January's Gallery Stroll. It still isnt decided and I still have lots of work to do to make this happen, but its something Id really like to accomplish and hope to achieve.
I havent been showing as many photos on this journal or submitting many online because Id like for most of what I submit for Gallery Stroll to be fresh. Ive been using a lot more colour so thats been fun - anyway just thought Id give a little photo update!
